“ My daughter-in-law followed up on my sons request to celebrate his 60th birthday at his favorite restaurant "Nettie's" Usually we are a group of 5, for his birthday we had a party of 12 and delighted in the varied Brunch menu. I had one of my favorites - baby lamp chops and Moscow Mule with Tequila instead of Vodka. After visiting numerous drinks lounges - I'm convinced Nettie's makes the VERY BEST! Thanks Brad! Your staff made my son's birthday very special! 1/12/25 ”
“ I really enjoy the brunch. Good food and atmosphere. The service was also good. Not bad for a local eatery. ”
“ Surprised by any reviews that aren't 5 stars. Randomly found this spot while on my way to an event and the photos looked good and honestly there weren't many options in the area so we thought why not give it a try, so glad we did! The service was great, everyone checked on us and was so attentive. The food deserves ALL the stars. Everything was absolutely delicious, I was lucky to eat with family so I was able to try the chicken and fish and all of their sides. Absolutely delicious, I'll be back! ”
“ Food is fantastic very tasty drinks were good but I think a little pricey for a soul food spot. ”
“ Delicious food, amazing service. Literally feels like our second home. This is our go to spot! The ambiance is homey and welcoming. ”
“ I lived in Atlanta for 11 years and eating here gave me those same kind of Southern hospitality vibes. I had the Southern Classic. Sunny side up eggs were not over done and yolk perfectly droopy. Like Ice Cube said, "Momma made breakfast with no hog." No pork on the menu. The beef bacon was still crispy and even tastier than the pork version. The biscuit is on another level. Fluffy, moist, and good on its own without condiments. I normally don't like grits but the cheesy grits were addictive. I still added a little sugar since that's what I'm used to. Great service and everyone seemed to enjoy vibing to contemporary Gospel music. It was Sunday after all. Friendly staff just as good as the food. Can't wait to come back to dig into their week day menu. Best Southern food north of Mason-Dixon Line. ”
“ Came here randomly on a Sunday with my boyfriend for brunch and we will definitely be coming back! To start we ordered a mimosa and Bellini. Both were very tasty! For our meals I ordered the Southern Classic, which came with eggs (your way) and you get to choose from a few different sides. I got my eggs scrambled with cheesy grits, a biscuit and turkey bacon. My boyfriend for the French toast with beef sausage. Everything was amazing and well seasoned. We also ordered a side of baked macaroni and cheese, which was the star of the show. It's the best mac and cheese I've ever had from a restaurant and tasted like it was home cooked. I would order that by itself as a meal if I came as a larger portion. Aside from the amazing food, what really made me like this place was the owner, Dannie. He was such a kind and welcoming soul and it made me feel like I was eating at a restaurant with a bunch of my distant relatives. He definitely made the place feel extremely homey and welcoming, which is something I feel like is hard to find in the hospitality industry. He greeted every single table and had conversations with everyone, it was definitely something I loved to see. I will definitely be coming back to try their lunch/dinner food. ”
“ Took my mother here for a Pre-Mother's Day dinner. I called to make a reservation but was told they don't accept reservations for parties of 2 and they close at 6:00pm on Saturdays - I was a little taken back by the hours but decided to go anyway. When we arrived we had about a five minute wait before we were seated. Can I just say this place is a whole vibe? They have a bar area that was fully packed, the seating area has exposed bricks and tv's everywhere. There was old school R&B music playing. Both my mom and I were excited because it's rare to find an actual soul food restaurant. Most restaurants are Caribbean based with a sprinkle of soul food in it (like mac and cheese). Our waitress, who was very attentive, came over to get our orders. We both had the red sangria, I ordered the bbq chicken (dark meat only) with mac and cheese and potato salad (don't judge me on the carbs). My mom had the fried catfish with mac and cheese and yams. One suggestion would be to have a basket of cornbread to eat while waiting for your food. The sangria was delicious! One of the best restaurant sangria's I've had in a while. We didn't have to wait too long for our food and it was hot when we got it. Now I will say I did ask for dark meat - I got two pieces of very small chicken, but they were tasty. The portion size of the sides were good. The potato salad and the mac was both delicious. My mother said her food was delicious as well. The one thing we both noted was that everything was seasoned. I indulged and got the red velvet cake - it was ok...I've had better but I also had worse. The owner stopped by to chat with us for a food minutes which was a nice touch. Actually the staff we interacted with were all very nice and accommodating which is a welcome surprise these days. Again, I repeat, this place is a whole vibe and I will definitely be back! ”
“ I went for a to go order they were busy but the wait wasn't bad. We ordered whiting, collard greens, yams. Fried shrimp, Mac & cheese & a banana pudding cake. Man oh man 10/10 recommend. Everything was delicious. The sides were all so good & the yams may look blah but they are absolutely not blah it was super good. The seafood was also really good & fresh. I'm actually mad I didn't try it before I live super close to there. But it's all good cuz I tried it now & will continue to go back. I'll go back to sit down next time. The hostess was really nice, they had a band playing so I'm guessing they may have themed nights. They are only open Thursday-Sunday. ”
“ A neighborhood gem. I sat at the bar and the mixologist greeted and took my beverage order. I had a red Sangria and water with lemon. The Sangria was delicious with fresh fruit pieces. I ordered the catfish with potato salad and collard greens. The fish was seasoned and fried perfectly. I did not need tarter sauce or hot sauce. The potato salad hit tbe spot and the collards did a dance. The music was programed versus a live DJ and set a vibe to move/sing along in your seat. ”
